Erin founded Good Lines in 2013, after twenty-five years in the field working for multiple key manufacturers. Driven by her love of—and respect for—excellent design, she set out to create a company infused with her unwavering standards, starting with an eco-friendly and sustainable focus. Over the years, she’s further developed Good Lines to cater to designers’ needs, calling on her own background in Interior Design, as well as her passions and keen eye, to inform her choices.

Howard pivoted from a successful career in telecommunications to the design world in 2013 to eagerly dive into the family business. He applies his technical acumen to everything he does for Good Lines—from providing prompt, detailed and reliable quotes to thoroughly understanding the nuances of every product we offer to handily wrangling chairs and assisting with complicated installations. Nothing is too detailed, too technical, or too number-heavy for him. Unflappable, Howard tackles everything with characteristic ease and good humor.

Ali joined Good Lines in June 2022—new to our company, but not the commercial interior design space, the DMV area, or the Zechiel family! Her broad industry knowledge and experience span multiple design categories and key roles at top manufacturers. Simply put, Ali is an outstanding resource for designers—she will help you find exactly what you’re looking for in a timely manner. After ten years in NYC, Ali happily returns to the area to join her aunt, Erin Zechiel, who early-on recognized her niece’s many considerable talents, hilarity and wit, and encouraged her to enter the industry. Cathy joined the Good Lines team in 2017 after more than two decades in the international art auction world. She keeps our behind-the-scenes humming through her outstanding organizational skills—maintaining our inventory of thousands of samples and getting exactly the right samples into our clients’ hands. She’s also on-scene for efficient library updates and timely furniture and other deliveries. Whatever needs doing, Cathy is happy to help.
